"Lovely place to stay "

"One night stopover on our journey to Inverness. Room was spacious and well appointed, staff were uniformly friendly and efficient and food (both evening meal and breakfast) was excellent "

"Nice apartment for my wife and I to spend a couple of nights with our 1 year old daughter. There was plenty of room in the bedroom for the travel cot we brought with us, and they provided a high chair on arrival. The apartment was also dog friendly so our little pooch was able enjoy the trip with us (at a cost of £25 per night). The welcome pack did mention there was a free bag of dog treats available for dogs, but we didn't actually receive any. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything...

"Nice place to stay although found it difficult to locate using sat nav we had room 8 which is a lovely room located at the rear side of main building so if its raining you will get wet going to breakfast otherwise nice room although did smell a little musty "

"First time visiting the lake district and it didnt disappoint. The area of the lodge was perfect to explore and visit different places nearby. The lodge itself was perfect , and had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Will definitely like to stay again and will recommend to all friends and family this lodge."

"Fantastic location & views. Very basic which let it down. Not great when you travelled 4hrs on the road & not find any milk in fridge for a cup of tea. Lovely shower but all the mould let it down (even the fake plant was covered in mould). Tiny bath towels and no blind on window,Hole in fence has not been fixed but some broken chairs put in front which didn't take my dogs long to figure out & no outside light in garden so i had to use my phone torch to make sure they did not escape at night....

"A working farm - grew to love it all. Facility was well furnished. Matthew is definitely a worker. As a former farm owner in Virginia we recognize the work involved and admired the product. The directions (Turn at —-) could be clearer. Thank you for sharing your home."

"Despite the rain we had a fantastic time in this excellent property. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. There is seating outside on the patio which is also accessible and a shallow slope from the drive to the property. The surrounding area is...

"Cute little cottage in a good location with everything you would need. Stairs are typical of the age of the cottage, after a day out in the hills they became a challenge in themselves! Overall lovely couple days away. Thanks! Spar across the road had everything you would need including logs and kindling."

"Really enjoyable stay in a nice setting, pity about the weather. Fair warning there are some works going on on the property grounds making it a bit more unsightly but nothing can be done about that. Overall great. Thank you."

"This was a wonderful house in a wonderful location. Almost magical-views out every window, well stocked. A virtual rabbits warren of thick walled rooms well decorated and festive for the holidays. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the walking paths outside and the playground across the street. Clean and comfortable."
