"Clean airy room, they had plenty of towels and clean bedding. They had put the trundle bed out ready which I thought was nice. They had ample parking which was really useful. The room had some aspects which felt a little cheap, the kettle wouldn’t shut properly, the sink wouldn’t unplug, which was annoying when brushing our teeth, and the curtains nearly fell from the wall when trying to close them."

"Room was a good size and clean. Staff on arrival were great. Good choice of drinks at the bar and food looked good. Rooms were a bit warm considering the unusuallu hot heatwave but they had Dyson fans which helped. Nespresso coffee machine was a great touch, iron and ironing board in room. I would stay again. One frustration: Breakfast! Turned up, guy came over in seconds asked room number. Walked over to get juice, no glasses, would have got toast, no small plates, waited 10 mins then asked for service, person was cleaning a table and said someone will be over soon, few mins later the table behind us asked how long their food would, turned out their food had been forgotten so had to reorder, soon as they reordered we asked if we could order too as we were more than ready, was told they'll be over in a min, 5 later still no one...more than 25 mins of no service we walked and told the lady at reception who offered to take our order. As we left I could see 3 waiters looking at us talking, probably about us leaving, I was surprised they had the time to chat considering we waited so long to get served."

"A nice little place in the centre of the action, near the beach, near some shops, near pubs and eateries. Could be romantic. Pub noise opposite does stop at midnight. Generally well-appointed, the three larger rooms are done out beautifully, though our room, "Beach", was small with an attempt at a beach hut look. Bed very comfortable, floor painted, no carpet, the room is decorated in grey, white and a (feature?) wall in orange. One clothes rack, no drawers The bathroom floor needed regrouting and so it harboured dust, which got onto the towels. The toilet had a stylised monster motif at the front looking up at you and the sound of its cistern was similar to a 737 at take-off. The main doubt I would have about the Beach room, and possibly the others, is that the roll-top Victorian-style bath is not a shower, though it has a spray handpiece. It is also on a little dais of its own and therefore getting in and out can be tricky, what with the height and the slipperiness of the curved-bottom bath. It nearly legged me up getting in, and my wife just slipped back in 5 times after her bath. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone over 60 or unsteady on their feet."

"Rose Mews is a wonderful place to stay in Broadstairs. It's centrally located in the town near a of restaurants, bars and shops. There's a parking space too. 'The property is within yards of the seafront and a short walk to bus stops and railway station. Rose Mews is well-equipped, clean and very comfortable and we have stayed there three times now as we love it. Hayley, the host, is very efficient, friendly and communication with her is always excellent."

The Tide House, Broadstairs

10/10 Excellent

"We had the absolute pleasure of being the first guests at the Tide House, and it did not disappoint! The home is well-equipped and comfortable, beautifully decorated, and exactly as pictured. The host was very responsive. Location is magnificent as it's just far enough from any noise from bars, but minutes walk to the lovely beaches Viking Bay and Stone Bay, as well as restaurants and shops. There are blackout curtains and comfortable beds. There is off-street parking, a dining table in the lounge that comfortably sits 8, and a delightful courtyard to have meals outside. If you have a child who is used to a nightlight at the top of the stairs, bring battery powered lights for hallways and stairs as there are no sockets, also none in the bathrooms. Highly recommend a stay in The Tide House! We hope to book again for another perfect getaway."
