"This is a really cute little flat. It had everything we needed. One bedroom and a really nice modern bathroom. The kitchenette was well stocked and the hosts stocked the fridge with food for our first breakfast. We drove to the Tesco, but we could have walked. The yard is well kept and the neighbour is very friendly. We loved our stay here. It is beneficial if you have a car. They do have a convenient parking spot and driveway."

"My wife and I enjoyed our stay here! The room is basic but equipped with all the essentials (private entrance, private bathroom, kitchen sink, and fridge). It’s perfect for use as a home base while spending your days out and about. It is very close to a bus stop, about a 4 min walk, which gives easy connection to the rest of the city. The family is very quiet and we were not disturbed at all during our stay. "

"The toilet was so high up i couldn't do a sh*t. I'm six foot tall, but when I was sat on the toilet my feet were not touching the ground. Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout, which was great for working remotely between sightseeing days. "We loved the location on Grassmarket Square with easy walking to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and the bed and pillows were very comfy. Housekeeping kept everything tidy. Having access to a filtered water machine was greatly appreciated and the in room espresso machine was great. We had a small lounge area outside our room where we could relax and watch the world walk by below."

"Wonderful stay here... near Haymarket station, but a bit uphill. Front desk staff was so nice and helpful. Thought of stuff before I could think of it. The room was great. A bit noisy since I left the windows open, but I liked hearing the cars and people. Edinburgh castle was about a 15 minute walk and the Royal mile is near the castle. Nice lounge/breakfast area. I didn't eat the breakfast... not a morning person. Single room was a bit small, but VERY comfortable."

"This hotel surpassed our expectations. Yes we slept in an old cell but that just gave it character. Emerson and Faith were extremely helpful. You can't beat the location as you walk out the door and in a minute you are on the Royal Mile. We had no idea it would be this convenient. It was a wonderful last night before heading back to the USA."

"The first night of our stay was absolutely miserable. When we complained about our horrible room staff immediately turned on us. We spoke with the night manager the next morning and he was the only staff truly sincere about helping us while the other staff continued to be rude. We truly thank him for relaying the problems to the correct people and resolving the situation."

Details about having no housekeeping were not explained to us on arrival so we did not know we could get more coffee, towels etc. It was close to a bus route,"
