"Great value clean"

"This is a lovely hotel surrounded by green open spaces. The hotel is newly refurbished so all furnishing in the public areas and the room we stayed in are new. The restaurant serves a beautiful buffet style breakfast and serves a basic but wholesome menu for lunch and dinner. Food quality is excellent and the staff extremely kind and attentive. Plenty of parking is available but to go to central Amsterdam, the bus is the best choice. The stop is less than 100 meters away and takes you directly to Amsterdam central. The villages of Volendam and Edam al almost within walking distance. "

"Having stayed in several Doubletree hotels,this one was no exception in that,from the start,we were made to feel welcome Always greeted with a smile and there were 3 girls in particular who would serve us a coffee or a drink in the smaller bar after dinner who were especially kind. I know one was called Nadia and the other one was still at college but keen to get into hospitality and open her own bar one day .The third was a lovely small girl of chinese descent i think. Really the kind of people you want to see at front of house when you come in from the rain. All in all a wonderful city well worth a visit. "

"We had a lovely holiday despite the negatives I'm about to list. If Europarcs implement improvements this could be a lovely park to stay in! The cleanliness of the property was poor, there were cobwebs everywhere, not just one or two but down behind everything was matted with them, the downstairs toilet was smelly. It seemed like the "broom clean" you're asked to leave it is all that you arrive to. Didn't help that the attachments did not fit the vacuum so i was unable to remedy myself! The AC was leaking significantly which we reported but was not resolved despite assurance an engineer would be sent. This was particularly inconvenient as it was a very hot week. There are no doors between ensuite and the room which is a privacy issue ehen using facilities but also the heat/moisture from showering fills the room making it even warmer than it is already. The facilities looked good, the swimming pool was small but adequate, the sauna however requires a daily deposit of 38 euros and can only be used during reception opening hours of 9-5. It would have been nice to use in the evening, same with the pool. The restaurant was nice and we enjoyed an evening there. The shop was poorly stocked and not open the day we arrived. We made use of other supermarkets including Albert Heijn in nearby Marken. It was a handy location to access lots of places/activities outside of Amsterdam and you could use public transport to access Amsterdam itself. FYI the bus is expensive, train l"

"This hotel was in a unique location. The streets are guarded by timed entry, which made it confusing to get to the parking. The hotel staff was helpful with this experience. The breakfast was quite costly for typical offerings, but the setting was very elegant. The bed was comfortable and clean. "

"Excellent stay! Room was very comfortable and clean, great SPA facilities and a very good breakfast. We had a dinner reservation at the restaurant that wowed us on arrival but left very disappointed after the meal. Menu was disappointing and overpriced. Need to hire a new chef and less more attentive staff. "
