“Small cottage was perfect for this solo traveler. Did encounter issues upon arrival, but most were all addressed the next day (TV/cable not working, no hot water in sinks, privacy glass in shower/tub scratched off & inadequate heating). Light blue & green decor was lovely with the beautiful wooden cathedral ceiling. Adequate supplies in cottage (full-sized fridge w/freezer, microwave, dishes, wine opener, coffee maker, iron and table ironing board). Felt comfortable & safe in the unit. Had it……

“The Birch Retreat apartment accommodations were very nice as described. Great large shower, but not a full kitchenette (only sink is in bathroom) but owner added lots of accessories to make it easy to do basic things. The property (and one other adjacent Plum Retreat apartment that I know of) is connected to lovely & gorgeous new Secret Gardens with a new small shop & on-site events developed by the owner; the Birch apartment is a renovated part of the re-development of the former Green Gables……

It is also working walking distance to several restaurants, and onsite parking is convenient. Check out the cool breakfast place just next door that has great food and sailboats surfboards for tables.”

“Our first time in Door County and this motel did not disappoint! We met the owner at check in and she was so friendly and answered all our questions. Our room overlooked the pool, firepit, and a beautiful wooded area. We did sit by the firepit at night and it was awesome. In the morning there is a lobby area where they served toast and such along with cereals and fruits. Plenty of hot coffee and tea. The room was very nice, clean, well stocked with towels and comfy beds and pillows. It was a……
