Seriously - DO NOT BOOK

Honest to goodness - I never write reviews. Ever. But this company is 100% a scam… so much so that VRBO is investigating them. Don’t be fooled by the good photos and other fake reviews. They are THE worst company to deal with. They will charge you hundreds of dollars of added fees days before your trip. They’ll even cancel on you day of. The details: I booked this location for the week of Memorial Day. This company contacted me 2 weeks before and asked for nearly $300 of “extra fees” that were not in the listing. I told them that I didn’t think they could charge me extra fees that were not in the listing (I had already paid in full weeks ago). But they said I had to pay or else they wouldn’t give me the keys to the rental. So I called VRBO and reported the price gauging. VRBO opened an investigate into the company because this rental continuously does this to travelers (adding extra charges after booking) - which is against VRBO policy. I called the rental back and expressed that I still wanted to stay, but that I wouldn’t be paying these extra fees. I even told them I contacted VRBO. We went back and forth and they finally let the extra fees go and confirmed my stay. Then a week before my vacation, they asked for a copy of my ID to have on file when I checked in. I sent a photo over email and they confirmed they received it. The day before my trip they emailed me that they were excited to have my stay with them tomorrow. So I fly all the way to Florida… and at check in, they tell me that because I called VRBO on them, they would be canceling my reservation. And the guys clicked “cancel” right in front of me. It was just so terrible all around with this company. DON’T BOOK. Hope this review saves someone all the hassle we went through finding another rental the first day of our vacation.

This is our second time renting one of Stay Soul’s units. Always clean and equipped with all essentials you would need. Stay Soul is very quick to respond to any questions/ needs that you would have. We will continue to search for Stay Soul properties first.
