“The host was very welcoming and the house was very clean”

“Our stay at this property was extremely disappointing. We received no check-in instructions and had no idea where to go upon arrival. A man washing a car in the driveway (not the host) directed us down a side yard and into a basement unit (never mentioned in the listing). There was no cell service, so we had to stand outside just to contact the host.The keypad lock didn’t work, and after multiple messages, the host told us not to worry because “the caretaker would make sure no one goes in.” This……

“Adam, the owner was very responsive until we got there, and then decided not to stay because the room was really smaller than we imagined. There is barely enough room to get around the bed. I had asked, if possible, for some sort of a partial refund, but haven't heard anything back as of yet. The room was clean and in well-kept condition, but not nearly as comfortable as the pictures depict. Anyway, it was an expensive lesson for my further travels using VRBO as I would only consider a place……
