“Due to our travel arrangements, my family and I checked in approximately 6 hours later than the 4:00 check in time so it was very late. Being tired after a day of travel, I was having issues with the locking systems on the doors. I text the host and they were quick to reply, even though it was quite late. The next day, it was unexpectedly warm (per the locals ). When I reached out to the host, they were quick to provide a solution to ensure we were comfortable for the duration of our trip. When……

“Stayed for 5 nights. The air filter was absolutely polluted with dust, it looked like it hasn’t been changed in a year. Our son got an allergic reaction to the dust and had to take him to the ER during our stay. One of the beds did not have a comforter which we reported upon arrival. We were told for 3 straight days that it would be delivered and was not. It was finally delivered as we were checking out. I am a work traveler and have seen it all but the service and cleanliness were way below……

“Pretty good overall but on balance not sure we save much money over a hotel. The checkin was great and host was flexible on checkout although we didnt need it in the end. Location is great (Times Square walkable) etc. However, the downstairs rooms have a pretty low ceiling. The single room has an AC that can only be controlled via on/off switch but it has a heating pipe running though it so hard to get that right in winter. In the end a solid choice.”

“I felt like I was being hosted in a family member's home versus just being a customer. It was absolutely perfect and so adorable. I hope to make it back one day and will stay here again. Privacy without being in the middle of nowhere made it all the better. Big BIG thanks to the owners, you made us feel right at home. ”

“We were only there overnight. Clean, in a good neighborhood, close to the falls and restaurants. Shower leaked water from the head and was too lose to take a shower. Beds were comfortable and slept well ( but had been up 24 hours traveling so was very tired). Our quiet time was 10 pm. One bedroom was noisy with a child upstairs yelling and swearing at his video games. Owner and son stay upstairs. Our nice vehicle was parked along the road as expected. The owner came out to water a small tree……

“The room, kitchen and bath were exactly as described and very nicely decorated (she thought of everything). The property is within walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants, and the train station. I would definitely stay here again when next in Long Beach. Highly recommended!!”
