"Great hotel "

"Clean, modern and comfortable room. Amazing breakfast buffet. Steps away from piers and Muni buses/trolley stops. Make sure you buy Muni day pass, no rental car is needed if you stay at Riu. "

"Hotel is very fancy and clean but no air conditioning which sucked. Radiator was making noise all night which made it hard to sleep. Staff is very friendly. "

"Stayed in one of the premier rooms. It was older and needed updating. Beds were comfy tho. Walking distance to Union Square lots of places to eat nearby. "

"Clean room & staff was okay. Had 24 hour security which was nice. No valet parking like the website states, breakfast was not available & the restaurant was not open at all like it was advertised on the website either anytime i had a question in regards to either , staff had no answer. "

"Speedy check-in! Good location! Walking distance to main attractions and shops nearby. First time in SF. I chose this hotel for my bday weekend. My only complaint is the bar/restaurant staff. The one doing breakfast seemed annoyed that I chose to eat elsewhere. I went back for dinner. The dinner staff was not attentive at all. My plate sat on my table after I was finished for quite some time. The same can be said for my empty glass. Finally, on my way out, I tried again (third time, three different employees); they refused to accept the drink vouchers I had received the night prior (for my birthday). Nowhere on the voucher it says “only one per day.” I was disappointed at the rudeness I experienced three different times. That would be my only suggestion: to work on being more welcoming to the guests, especially first timers that choose this hotel to celebrate a special occasion. "
