Kawazu iZoo Hotels

"Great location, friendly staff, beautiful property, very good breakfast and excellent nightly rate. Booked a second night minutes after checking in. Easy beach access and loved enjoying a drink on the balcony watching the sun set. Looking forward to staying again the next time I’m in the area."

"No drinking water in public bath is the only concern as needed to walk outside of changing area to get water. "

"The half board package was excellent. The breakfast and dinner were scrumptious and elaborate. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The sea view from our room was stunning and yes, the onzen, sauna and the cold plunge in our suite were great! Kudos to the team!"

"It was the most amazing hotel stay of our lives. Thank you to he make amazing stuff for making it so memorable. "

"Really good hotel, really good location close to the beach."

"Nice location and cosy hotel but the food was terrible; cold, bland and low quality."

"大変心地よかったです"

"This hotel is perfect in every way! The room is sparking clean, food is top notched, amenities are high end, and the in room onsen is heavenly! The meals were amazing! Not to mention the beautiful views in the hotel and in our room! We will be back! Thank you!"

"多数の貸切風呂が時間を気にせずに使えるのが良かった。 食事の案内や準備がスムーズでないこと、仕入れの関係でメニューが品書きから変更になったのにもかかわらず説明が無かったことなど、食事に関するサービス面で不満が残った。"

"One of the most incredible stays of my life. The resort is beautiful with lots of onsens. The staff were very sweet and professional. They were very accommodating to upgrade my room for my honeymoon. The breakfast and dinner is soooo delicious. Highly recommend"

"Beautiful traditional property."

"My family of 3 stayed two nights at Hinodeya and it was a wonderful experience all around! This was our first visit to the Izu-Penninsula and we had such a great time. The owner and staff were so kind and accommodating, truly good spirits in this generational owned ryokan. The baths were very relaxing, the entire place was very clean and good spirits all around. If you’re looking for a family run experience vs. a corporate hotel, I highly suggest staying. Also, their massage chair is...

"Kitchen was very well-equipped, with a lovely big fridge. Appreciate the laundry machine available. Older place so a bit worn and dusty in places. Very spacious - yet somewhat awkward for just relaxing in. Single beds were not comfortable so we placed tri-fold mattresses on top. Orange duvet covers not a pleasant material to touch. We could not get hot water in the tub so we're not able to enjoy it! Air conditioning was good! Nice neighborhood. Lovely plants and birds just outside!"

"Beautiful location!!!! From the shuttle drivers, bellmen, front desk, housekeeping, concierge, and dining staff - they were all so warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful throughout or stay!"

"Staff were super friendly and welcoming. A great coastal onsen away from the busy cities. Views of the coastline from the outdoor air bath and east access to the beach for swimming and surfing were a highlight. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were great value and included local fish, lobster and abalone."

"Extremely friendly staff."

"Staff was very helpful getting to and from the nearest train station. The hotel, onsen, and rooms are very well maintained. The breakfast is fantastic with a great view."

"We really liked the outdoor hot spring, closeness to the Shirahama Beach, and the free shuttle service from and to the Shimoda station. We loved the dinner, too."

"The hotel shuttle was very convenient, the food was very good, and we had tempura, which is one of the best in Japan ."
