「Had a great time! Loved the island and this was definitely the nicest place to stay. Loved that it was just outside of the middle of town. Everything was great in all aspects. Especially the 2 Bartenders in the Hamilton bar in the afternoon. Very fun, yet polished.」

The staff were so accommodating and went way above to make us and our dog Blue so welcome from his welcome pack to the fuss made over him it made our visit truly special. 「Expedia booked me at the wrong Tarbert. I asked for the Tarbert on Isle of Harris. Apparently, this happens a lot. The hotel I did stay at in the Tarbert I was hoping for said it’s a common mistake. They’ve tried informing booking companies, to no avail. Though I contacted the Anchor about the booking mistake, I was charged full price for a room I was 250 miles from.」

「My main problem was sorted once I reported it, but it was an unusual scenario, I believe, in that my room had not been properly cleaned before my arrival. The manager was superb in accepting my observations and promised to get the room cleaned by housekeeping the following day whilst I was out (I stayed for 2 nights).
