"The room and reception were wonderful, and the staff provided excellent, hospitable service. However, the shuttle bus service from Yugawara Station was very disappointing. I waited for 15 minutes at the instructed location, but the bus never stopped. It drove through the rotary so quickly that I didn't even see it coming and had no chance to board. A tip for future guests: To avoid this issue, I highly recommend calling the hotel on your travel day to reconfirm the exact shuttle pickup time...

"Breakfast & Dinner were awesome! But there is no bus to take from Yugawara station :) "

"Highlight of our trip and wish we stayed longer. If you are looking for a beautiful and quiet place in Hakone, stay here."

"Location is isolated but good views; the property provided transportation to the station where plenty of buses to travel around the city. Onsen was great amenity."

"Perfect place to get a taste of Japan. Beautiful rooms, location and property."

"we adored Hata-San, our helpful friend at the hotel. the dinner and breakfast were both incredible. bathhouses were relaxing and clean. the Hakone day pass made it so easy to get everywhere but don’t forget to take time at the ryokan to re-center after travel!"

"Their meal service is fantastic. "

"Wonderful hotel within about a 10-15 minute walking distance from Izunokuni station. Also a short bus ride away if it's too hot. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Amenities include public bath, and even two massage chairs you can use for free! Staff is also very helpful with your questions. One inconvenient thing is the hotel restaurant takes last order at 8:30 pm, which is really early."

"Hotel is a bit dated however, staff were amazing and helpful. The onsen is really good and the food overall was delicious. We would highly recommend this place. "

"Free alcohol on every floor isn't something we've seen before. It seemed very popular."

"Staff are nice and helpful."

"Very beautiful surroundings and great onsen"
