“I wanted a peaceful, quiet weekend, and the farmhouse was that. The location was restful. The interior was tired and shabby. The furniture was garage sale standard, the appliances were old and inexpensive, the kitchen was ill-equipped, so I didn't want to cook. The outside surroundings were cluttered and unkempt. The windows needed a good cleaning, the leaves needed to be cleaned up, and the blowing plastic film around the buildings was unsightly.”

The best room is the large family room with two walls of glass to view the fields and Wildcat Creek. There are ample lounge chairs outside, a fire pit and a large Blackstone grille with griddle. We cooked our three meals for 12 people on the Blackstone and the kitchen. ”
