“I was disappointed the moment I entered the property. It looked old and there was a distinct smell to the carpet or something in the area. My bedsheet in the room was not new, it obviously looked used. I called up the Front Desk for help at 4 PM. I was told the cleaners are gone for the day. However, the front desk guy was nice enough to give me new pair of sheets and pillow covers. That certainly sounded fresh and new. The next day, I went for a complimentary breakfast. The strawberries……

“It looked pretty new and the room was big and clean. There were always snacks in the lobby area which was nice. There was a small box of Christopher Elbow chocolate in the room as a welcoming gift and we enjoyed it. ”

“Hot tub was closed. Staff made no effort to let us know. Nothing on the web saying it’s closed. Lights in the bar flickered so badly the manager had to shut off lights. WiFi didn’t work. ”

Only negative would have been when I asked a staff member if they had a microwave and he laughed and said most people that stay there don’t eat left overs so they don’t have micro waves. I felt a bit embarrassed from the way the he responded. But I clarified to him it was to hear up my daughters formula ”

“Beautiful historic hotel. The service by the staff was excellent, especially the valet area. The room was very well decorated and comfortable. The location was perfect for attending events at the T Mobile Center and Power & Light district. We will be back.”
