“The property was misrepresented by very old images on Expedia. The property is worn out and tired. Work was needed everywhere and at best is a 2 star hotel. Not enough staff to keep up the property and garbage everywhere including on the beach. Beach is beautiful but the water is unsuitable to swimming due to rip tides. No security on property and felt unsafe a number of times.”

“A few things to think of before booking this hotel: 1. unstable wifi service, upon arrival wifi in the hotel is not working until late night 2. no hot water. it’s a lie that you can get hot water for shower after waiting for 45s. It’s not only our room, our friends didn’t have hot water for showers as well. 3. no hair dryer. 4. very limited table space for putting your stuff onto. This hotel is not recommended at all. ”

It is a fascinating island with so much rich history; we made sure to explore the sights at Fort Frederik and Christiansted, and took in the beautiful views at Point Udall. ​The Buccaneer Resort is a lovely property, and overall, we had a good stay. “The room was very clean and well kept. Staff was wonderful. The manager (Alexia) was great, unbelievable and eager to answer all the questions related to the property to make guests/customers feel comfortable. Kudos to her! Shanay, the front desk person is great. I was welcomed with a welcome note by Shanay. That’s nice of her and that really shows how she cares about customers. Kudos to her. And finally, Joyce (the cleaning lady), she’s wonderful, incredible. She kept the room clean and paid……

“First, the pictures do not do the room size justice. The room is the size of an apartment. Also the view from my balcony was spectacular. Not to mention the swinging chair and chaise, bonus! The hotel has its own restaurant, but is also, a short walk along the beach or road to several others. Nicole at the front desk was super helpful, and so incredibly pleasant. Any issue I had was resolved, learning how to work two remotes for tv was the only issue. She answered all questions, and provided……

“Oceanfront king room. Gorgeous view right on the beach. Loved going to sleep hearing the waves. Comfortable room. Beach is amazing. It does drop off quickly though not a gradual incline in the water. Good food at their restaurant, and service at the lounge chairs. Will return.”
