This is an older hotel, and overall, you get what you pay for. It’s not quite what you might expect from an "all-inclusive" resort in the traditional sense, but it had its positives. The rooms were definitely dated, but they were clean and well-kept.
Food was okay, fewer options than you might expect, but the menu did change daily. Hot dishes were served by the staff at the station. One thing to note: there’s no air conditioning in the restaurant and no visible coolers or fridges, which made it a bit uncomfortable during our first day, especially with food sitting out at 40°C, even if it was on ice. No one got sick, but we made sure to eat right when the restaurant opened just to be safe. Some food stations weren’t refilled later in the meal window — understandable for reducing waste, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re used to a small full buffet being stocked throughout.
Drinks leaned toward the budget end: no mojitos, and mimosas were only available at breakfast. That said, there were plenty of drink options made with local spirits, flavored syrups, and sugary soft drink..The staff were friendly and polite, though they did seem a bit tired. Most appear to have been in hospitality for quite a while, not a bad thing at all, just a different vibe compared to younger, high-energy resort teams.
The crowd was mostly local guests, which gave the resort a nice, authentic atmosphere that we enjoyed. Kids friendly. no-frills kind of stay. Just go in with the right expectat
