"Room was very good - clean and spacious and it was good to have a bath in the ensuite and not just a shower. All the staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. A nice touch was the provision of mulled wine and mince pies each evening"

"Staff were fantastic and very friendly, especially the waiter in the bar. Hotel is lovely and a nice touch having mulled wine and mince pies out for guests. Room was big and clean. Bed was very comfortable as were pillows and duvets. Nice touch having the leisure facilities although pool could have been slightly hotter. Perfect location for princes street, Christmas markets, George street and st James quarter. Fantastic stay and can’t wait to return. "

"Melville Castle was such a highlight on our trip. The room was gorgeous, the bed was comfy, and shower was incredible. The entire castle was decorated for the holidays and it was so cozy and charming. We ate dinner in the restaurant and HIGHLY recommend. We will absolutely be back"

"The house was brilliant and felt like a home. It was warm and comfortable and had everything we expected and more. The location was brilliant with lots of place to eat and drink on the doorstep. There’s also a supermarket a few minutes walk away. The bus service into Edinburgh city was so easy to use and very frequent. Communication was excellent. Parking outside the house was challenging but there’s plenty of other options. This is one of the best holiday homes we’ve rented and we will be back!"
