The Abbey Residence

The Abbey Residence

8/10 Good
"The staff at the Abbey are excellent, by far the best part about the stay. Very friendly with each encounter and extremely accommodating. We had several bags with us, and they made our check-in and check-out much easier by going out of their way to support. The room itself is satisfactory; it is about what you pay for. Nothing too extraordinary, but more than sufficient for what we needed it for. Although the bathroom wasn’t terribly well maintained, and the shower didn’t drain very well. Housekeeping was great; they came regularly and did a great job keeping the room to a high standing of cleanliness. The accommodation is also quite accessible to the city centre through both the 3 and the 29, which come quite frequently. Since there is no kitchen, having a Co-Op across the road is quite handy. Also close to some nice walking trails."

Premier Inn Edinburgh East

Premier Inn Edinburgh East

8/10 Good
"This hotel was very quiet, which was wonderful. The location was decent as it was close to Portobello Beach and had a bus stop right in front of the hotel that took us directly to the Royal Mile. The price was good for what we got, would have loved if the staff was a lot more helpful rather than just pointing at their brochure board when asked questions."
