"It’s name says it all. A perfectly sized, literal “bed room” in the middle of the woods. The fire pit had wood all ready for me to use. If you were to come in the winter, the tiny home has a wood stove to use as well."

"Renting this property was easy as can be and the host was very attentive and informative."

"My extended family stayed for three nights. We all enjoyed the house; the youngest was 20 and the oldest was 88. There was enough room for us to spread out, and the property was equipped with all the comforts that we needed. It was just what we needed."

Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). "This is the best place for large groups who want to stay together while enjoying the ocean and surrounding attractions."

"Very friendly restaurant staff, easy check in, private, very quiet, comfortable cabin. Excellent Mexican takeout in Millbridge and wonderful beaches and hiking trails around Machias. Great time to buy wild blueberries and enjoy the stark beauty of the barrens. Would visit again!"

"Lovely place to spend our weekend Downeast! Spotlessly clean, furnished comfortably, and it has a great kitchen. Grocery store is just a couple minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay and will most likely be back!"

"My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh...

"Very rustic with a HUGE emphasis on hunting. There were bear, turkey and antlers mounted on the wall. The place was a nice size. It was nice to have the bathroom down the hall from the bedroom. The living room couches and bed were comfy. Some of the fixtures weren't quite right. The antler chandeliers had cob webs, the sink had a hole where the sprayer was supposed to go, and the outlets weren't all secure in the wall. There was a lot of junk outside the cabin and we had to use our own towels...

"Great place to stay. Quiet area close to the water. Enjoyed the lobster boat ride. Very nice house. We were 10 people and did not feel crowded. Would definitely recommend this property."
