Mesquite Bar Hotel

"Room on 5th floor. Street noise was terrible. Room outdated but clean. Appreciated free coffee in lobby in the morning. Used the gym twice and had what I needed. Location definitely the selling point. "

"I recently stayed at this hotel in Dallas and overall had a good experience, but there was one issue that I feel should be addressed. I specifically booked and paid for a room with a balcony, but when I checked in, the room I was given did not have one. I called the front desk to ask about the discrepancy and was placed on hold for about 20 minutes without ever speaking to anyone. Unfortunately, I had to leave for a concert, so I wasn’t able to follow up further at that time, and I never received any response from the hotel afterward. Aside from that situation, the hotel itself was very nice. The location was great, and everything else about the stay met my expectations. I just wish the issue with the room type had been handled more attentively. I would consider staying here again, but I hope they improve communication and ensure guests receive the room they actually book."

"The hotel was nice, and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, we paid for a deluxe room hoping for a good night's rest. There were two or three families surrounding us who kept their doors open and yelled and cackled all night long. At four in the morning their small children were running up and down the halls, yelling at the top of their lungs. Apparently, we had an adjoining room with one of them, and the crack under the door made their rude behavior even louder. I'm not sure I'd try the hotel again, given that they pay no attention to the noise level in the middle of the night."

"It had roaches, that heat did not work. I was cold all night. They came in and said it were work in 15 minutes and it never did. It had mold in the bathroom on the wall, the bathtub had a hole in it and it had a mat to cover it. The whole experience was horrible."

"Room has hair in the bathroom everywhere upon check in. The phone in the room didn’t work and the front desk didn’t have anymore towels. Unacceptable. Parking was horrible it’s way in the back as we had bags and we had to park in the back and walk to the front when there was a door we tried to use our key card on and it didn’t work. Front desk stated we can go out the door but not come in. I had 3 kids under 13 with me and I was so upset. I stayed at another Embassy in Dallas and I will go to that one each time I go there. "

"There’s no direct call to the lobby to reach a hotel clerk. I had to call the hotel off of my cell phone. The people next to me had a little kids up after 12:30 AM screaming and jumping as if it were 2:00 pm and dog was barking. Security did come up. I scanned the QR code on the TV to get the menu. A children’s menu came up and when me and my grandkids went downstairs to order they said that menu didn’t exist anymore and he handed me a menu that didn’t have options for kids. The hotel hallway smelled like marijuana. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy. "
