Michigan Winery Hotel

"The property felt very unique, having the casino and the hotel connected the way they did was very interesting. The food court felt almost as if I was in a convention center. Very big parking garages. "

"Weber's is a very nice boutique hotel an easy drive from the center of Ann Arbor. The facilities are clean and modern and the ample on-site parking is a huge bonus in a town where free overnight parking for those without residency permits is extremely scarce. I didn't use the pool or dine at the restaurant, but the fact are both are there, onsite, and easily accessible by guests of the hotel is very desirable. My only complaint, really, is that they charge for plain old drip coffee at the breakfast bar in the morning. I can sort of understand why doing this might not seem like nickel-and-diming to them; after all, Weber's is an award-winning restaurant as much as a hotel, so charging for for and drink is a foundational part of their business model. It does feel a little chintzy in an era when even lower end chain hotels offer unlimited free coffee 24 hours a day in their lobbies, though. You want to charge for espresso drinks, fine; I get it. There's real labor involved in making those to order. But the quick cup of drip coffee on the way out the door in the morning just feels like a staple at nicer hotels at this point. So perhaps they could offer that in the hotel lobby, and continue to direct guests to the breakfast bar for fancy coffee drinks. I expect under those circumstances guests would rave about the convenience of the breakfast bar, rather than feeling deprived over being charged for an eight ounce cup of coffee they would get for free at any other hotel."

"It was very noticeable that they were short staffed. Rooms not vacuumed neither were the hallways and sitting areas. Only one operable elevator on the waterpark side of the resort. Only one place to purchase food and that was the food shack in the waterpark area and they had very limited hours and only one person working and he was not always at the counter or within ear shot. The bathrooms/changing areas in the waterpark were not cleaned. "

"I feel like the staff were bothered if you ask for something. There was 2 towels in a suite for 6. No coffee cups or hand soap. The room was ok but can tell was quickly cleaned with small pieces of trash left in places. Hotel needs work"
