“Disappointing one night stop over. Its more of a business traveller, conference & private events venue than a country house hotel. Suite 15 is directly opposite the kitchen extractor fan which is on from before 5.00am until the kitchen closes at night & can easily be heard in the room. The room only had one bedside table & lamp, the glazed entrance is fitted with opaque glass & is the only window so there is no view. If you could see out you would be looking at the car park. “Good hotel and location”

“We had such a lovely stay at this wonderful B&B. Comfy bed and the room was well equipped with tea and coffee, biscuits, water etc. We had no trouble parking. Breakfast was first class. ”

“Very clean. Owner was kind ang helpful. Area was very nice and quiet with a good pub nearby.”

“I was not impressed with the customer service I received from the receptionist on duty upon my arrival. She did not greet me upon arrival and did not inform me in advance that the parking machine would not issue a receipt.”

“Pros: Surrounded by a landscaped golf course. Bath not just a shower. Toiletries in room which included conditioner which isn't always provided. Complementary water and sparkling water Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Cons: No secondary lock on the inside of the door. Hallways smell quite bad and look very tired. Noise from other rooms or hallway overnight was quite easy to hear. Not sure if the walls are thin but it was enough to wake me up. A bit of black mould in the grouting in……

“I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada.”

“Great communication as a self check in with a lock box, plenty of private parking next to the accommodation. Carlton Towers has a tea room within walking distance which was convenient. Room was big with everything we needed for 2 nights. Would recommend and stay again if back in the area.”
