“Very nice and clean property on the north western side of the island, which means be ready for cooler and more rainy days. Good breakfast, good drinks and good room service, but no formal restaurant. Rooms are v clean and quiet. If you are looking for quiet retreat this is your place. If you want more happening place, choose something on the south side of the island.”

“To start, I’ll say that this is an objectively nice place to stay. There are great views of the sea and the rooms are big. The bed is very comfy. However, there were a number of important details missing, especially for the price. The shower in my room had a wooden floor. This clearly never dries and made the room smell horrible. It also felt quite unhygienic. The same issue existed near the pools - the wooden flooring is slightly warped and rotten, which is a bit of a hazard. The sauna didn’t……

“Staff were always ready to answer questions and direct me in the right directions. I wish it was warmer and sunnier to enjoy the out door pool. The few things I was disappointed in was the coffee in the morning….Nespresso? Or the other latter maker. The fruit was fair. The dinners were excellent and drinks were great”

“This hotel is fantastic, but I would suggest having a rental car if you stay here. It's ideal for getting to a lot of places on the island but staying very convenient to Ponta Delgada and the many restaurants there in the evening. We went out on excursions every day, and many tour operators picked us up directly at the hotel. We were on the island for eight days, so it was wonderful to have a big enough space to fit my family of five. They brought breakfast every day with fresh fruit and local……
