"The building generally looked clean, but there were some stains, smells, and hairs in the bedrooms on the beds. One big issue is the back door does not secure properly. I spoke to the property manager who was kind enough to give me a tutorial on how to latch the back door, but they still were unable to accept that the door was broken and not secure. We ended up having to leave our stay early and rent something without nasty stained sheets. "

"This property is not located in the best area. The trash cans were filled with flies and maggots the grout in the bathroom was dirty as well as the baseboards throughout the house kitchen table had streaks on it like it was cleaned with a dirty rag. grass was at least knee-high... Found roaches on the kitchen counter.. The Host was very unpleasant.. was not happy with the way she spoke with us... We left early didn't even stay a second night because of the condition and location of the property"

"Our dwelling was double booked so on NYE at 11:30 pm, after Ubering all night, we had to drive to a new location.We actually used the code to get in our rental and someone was already there. We had to drive 10 minutes on NYE to the new location. Thank goodness the other renters didn’t have a gun when we walked in on them."

"Firstly, Host is terrible about communicating, we received check-in information 30 minutes after it was supposed to be given which was not even provided until the time you are allowed into the house making traveling there to arrive at check in very difficult. The property was not remotely as advertised, leading me to believe this is an intentional scam. "This was one of my FAVORITE places to stay. The host was AMAZING and made us feel at home during our stay. This place is a GEM! Spotless, great location and access with room to easily park our two truck's. The bed is VERY COMFORTABLE and we rested better there than our own home!! We will DEFINITELY be booking this again when we return to the area. I highly recommended The Side Gate "
