"Excellent convenient location immediately adjacent to the train and bus stations but not noisy. And walkable easily to the tourist area sites. The facilities themselves are great, from the spacious rooms, onsens, provided kimono and sandals for the onsens and property, and the staff excellent. Also appreciated the afternoon welcome drink service. Would highly recommend for a stay in Takayama. "

"We enjoyed a three night stay while touring the greater Gifu area. The hotel is a bit older but is very well maintained. Everything is spotless, like most places in Japan. Comfortable room, including its size, bed/bedding. Very good breakfast value. Most importantly a real automatic European coffee maker with a strong roasted bean. And it’s available for free all day. "

"Staying temple was really unique experience. Renovation was done really nicely; traditional rooms were kept in good confition, and modern bathroom and laundry unit etc was installed. Very stykish yet blending well with original units. Quality of amenity was really nice too."
