The rooms are small but the thing that bothered us the most was the loud refrigerator right next to the bed and the weird smell of some chemical. Other than that, great location and great staff. They helped us with the luggage transfer to our next hotel, very thankful for that!

This hotel is in a quiet area, walking distance to downtown dotonbori. Twin beds are very small and pillows are uncomfortable. Front desk staff are not very welcoming to foreigners.

We liked the spacious room which is unusual for hotels in Japan, The staff were very helpful during our 16 night stay in Osaka, especially when we don't speak Japanese. They even arranged for our luggage to be transferred to Tokyo. As for location, the hotel is 2 little blocks from the main Dotonbori food/shopping area. That is, you are just a few minutes walk from all the action/noise. Such an enjoyable stay. Thank you Doutonbori Crystal Hotel and the staff.

The guys at the front go ABOVE AND BEYOND. They helped me with shipping my luggage from Osaka to Tokyo. I don’t speak or write in Japanese, so you can imagine how difficult it was for me. LOVE this hotel. Highly recommended!!

The staff was very accommodating and kind. It would be nice if they had a actual king bed since that was what I reserved for. The bed was 2 small bed pushed together so it was uncomfortable sleeping in the cracks of the bed.

This property looks okay from the listing on Expedia -- however, it is located in a DODGY area of Osaka. We were in Osaka for 3 days, and the first two days made us think... um is Osaka an unsafe area of Japan?? Then we went to Shinsaibashi (only 10mins away) and it was SO much better. Dotonburi is nice, but it is so accessible so I wouldn't recommend staying 'close' to the area. Also, the staff are a bit clueless and not very good at English or communication. Overall, a terrible experience and we won't be back.
