The staff at this property are exceptional. Our room was spotless, Bettina (I may have her name wrong, apologies) made towel animals that my kids adored and were excited for every day. Yhara at privilege check in was incredibly helpful, getting us a master suite for the extra space with the kids. Our butler, Rosa, ensured we had dinner times at our preferred restaurants with the best times to eat with our kids. Adriàn was also incredibly helpful when we stopped by the butler desk. My kids loved them both and got so excited anytime they would stop and chat. Karina at Mike's makes the best coffees and remembered our orders. Novelo and Jose in the privilege lounge gave amazing service. I've never been to a resort that was as diligent about food allergies, having 2 dairy allergies in the family, I would come here again just for the peace of mind. Every bartender, server, maintenance staff, and alike were so friendly and really lifted the atmosphere. The upgrade to privilege was well worth it and I look forward to the next time we can visit. Great food, so many activities, clean resort, and fantastic employees. A true 5 star for families.

Be prepared once you arrive, there are premier areas that you cannot use at the resort. Also, they told us that room service was avaliable for us to use anytime, but it was not. They asked us to attend a one hour seminar to try to sell us the premier access to the resort, they were extremely friendly upon our arrival, however that changed immediately once I declined to purchase anything. Paola working at the beach restaurant is the RUDEST employee here, the food was good here but, we never went back because we never wanted to deal with her ignorance. The staff servers at the other restaurants are there to do their job, not personable at all and sometimes treated us as we were a bother whenever we asked a question or for something we needed. However, Karina and the other ladies at the Cofee shop were amazing, so kudos to them. I would not stay here again. It was not bad but it wasn't great. Wish I left here with an amazing experience to recommend this resort.

Staff were very friendly and the buffet offered a lot of selection each day. We had to make a couple of calls about the room cleaning/ servicing and a noisy air conditioner. Getting a chair poolside or beach was impossible unless you got out before sunrise and claimed your spot with a towel. The special restaurants require you to line up at 8:30 in the morning to get a spot … unless you pay for premium. A couple of other cost cutting measures included the crepe restaurant only open 4 hours a day and the ice cream parlour was only open late afternoon and evening. As long as you like loud dance music from 11 - 6 El Beso is the place for you. The other pools were pretty much the same volume and there wasn’t much for actual beach front that wasn’t taken up by the reclining beds but again, only for privilege access. Not a terrible stay but certainly not a feeling of everything being taken care of. I will look around a bit more before doing another Cancun all-inclusive

Many reasons: 1. We said before our stay that we were there to celebrate our anniversary and in the day there was nothing special they did for us. And we show they did it for other customers. 2. The bars consistently missed one or the other ingredient for the mix and almost never made the drink they said they would. Same with true food. In the fine dining menu they listed ingredients that did not show up on the plates. 3. My wife was pregnant and there was little willingness from some staff members to help her or get her a non alcoholic beer. In general some staff members just seemed to be angry or in a bad mood. They kept forgetting our orders or reservations. A disaster if one considers this is a 5 star hotel with fine dining restaurants.

The staff were nice all the time they were helpful. My boyfriend and I were so surprised that they upgraded out because it was our anniversary and we were very thankful for. They always did a great job of making sure the hotel was clean, and when we wanted our room clean they did a good job. But when you wanted to go to the pool it was cool. The food was oh ok it was sometime was very sweet or grace's. When you want to the beach there was a lot of people that keep on asking to sale things. But the beach was gorgeous to look at. Also, when we booked an extension they didn’t tell us it would be an extra cost when the people picked us up. Their alcohol was good but sometimes tastes like it was artificial. There bowling was good it was nice a clean and if your lane was down they right away, fixed it. They had good live music at the night time.

Staff were very nice. Was given the wrong room - finally got the building i was supposed to be in but our room was at the very end and no view of the pool. Very disappointing. Ran the tub and the water was orange in colour. Disgusting. Food was ok..nothing special. Long line ups at the cafe which was discouraging as well. I would suggest a third person serving the coffee/smoothies especially early in the day. Won't be back

The food was very mediocre, breakfast was lacking fruits, vegetables and avocados (in Mexico), only bread and eggs were the majority selection. No variety at all. The room was ok, but the shower drain was not properly installed, and we have bathroom with water every time we took a shower. The water in the pool was freezing, no one was in it, everyone was at the beach. The water temp there was much warmer. The shade space is limited, you literary have to get up at 6am just to get one. Mexican restaurant was terrible, we waited 45 minutes just to get an order, and more than 1 hr to be served with food. My son and My mother got food poisoning after buffet visit on the 6th day. The best part of this resort was wild animals around it,, lots of fun feeding and observing them. Do not recommend!!

Room was nice, nothing fancy or anything considered 4star, but comfortable. No bugs, or leaking water anywhere. Grounds were good, lots of wildlife. Pools ok, could use a good cleaning on the pool floors, but it was a little cool so we didn’t get in-just sat at the side with our legs in. We weren’t at the beach area that much, although we would have liked to be. Seemed to be not enough chairs and very crowded, so mostly stayed at the pools. Food was decent, better than expected. We didn’t do any of the restaurants, just didn’t want to go to the extra effort of doing all that. Our butler was good, very nice. Didn’t see him much, but if we reached out to him he replied almost immediately. We were there between Christmas and New Years, NYE dinner was a cluster. Too many people all in the same area at once, so very long lines and wait time to get into buffet to be seated, then to get food from buffet. Wasn’t impressed, left and went to room and had room service. Room service food as expected, mediocre. Would possibly return, but thinking for slightly more $$ could be at a much nicer place next time. Not bad for the $ we paid, but lacking in some areas. We did have a good time so that’s all that really matters I guess.

Overall this is very good resort. Almost perfect. Rooms are great especially if you get one with your own pool which we did. Great food. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Many pools to choose from. If you with kids it’s perfect. If you want adults only - this is not for you. Beach front is little short. We really enjoyed it. Animals, food, people. Thank you

Our recent stay at Ocean Riviera Paradise was overshadowed by a serious safety concern—especially given that we had booked a Junior Suite with the Privilege upgrade and expected a higher standard of care. During our stay, a stranger was mistakenly allowed into our room. This was an alarming and unacceptable breach of guest security, and the situation that followed was handled poorly, with unclear communication and a response that did not reflect the seriousness of the incident. As a result, we felt unsafe for the remainder of our trip. There were also some frustrations with inconsistent information about what was included, a few unexpected charges, and limited engagement for older children, as the kids club and water park are better suited to younger ages (aged 4-6). The resort grounds are beautiful and there is clear potential for a wonderful family vacation, but meaningful improvements in commitment to guest experience are needed.
