“There’s lots great about this place but it’s got its quirks. It’s spacious and would be great for a family or larger group. It’s conveniently located about 10min walk from the train station. There’s a few pubs and a gas station for food nearby. Great if you’re going to a show nearby. It was very loud when we stayed there with traffic and the unit below us. The lock on the front door is picky and we got locked in for a while and had to call the owner. They were very responsive and helpful though.……

“Lovely well maintained modern rooms with sparkling bathroom and plenty of hot water for great shower. Nice to see eco facilities. Breakfast and dinner were superb and akin to gastro pub quality and generously portioned. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we visit family in the area. The only things that let it down, was the annexe we stayed in, could of done with a bit of updating and an iron. But other than that i would advise staying in one of the rooms inside the hotel. “This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience.
I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away.
My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating……

“As soon as I checked in, friendly lovely staff members let me check in a bit early which helped as I had heavy suitcase and I got my room straight. They gave me recommendations for food nearby too which was really helpful as I wasn’t sure what was good local foods.
If you want a place to stay in Barry this is it for sure.
And one other positive right next to the Barry station within good walking distance.”
