「Did not appreciate a separate bathroom from our bedroom. We booked 12 months in advance and I am sure that I would not have booked if I had noticed that. Our room was situated at the top of the stairs which meant other guests walking past possibly as you were heading to have or return from a shower. Our room could also be seen from a public area (a small corridor from the main bar to the beer garden) which is not good especially for a woman. The hosts went out of their way to find us...

「Couldn’t recommend The Tenpus at Charlton Hall more! We stayed in one of the lakeside lodges and had such a lovely relaxing time. We had planned to eat at the Lobster Pot in Bamburgh but lucky for us they were a chef down and couldn’t accommodate us so we ate in the Tempus restaurant which was outstanding. I didn’t catch our servers name but he was so friendly and made us very welcome. Food was delicious. Can’t wait to book again… absolutely loved everything about our visit.」

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent too. Would definitely recommend and stay here again 👍」

Very reasonably priced also. Also looked out onto green fields. The only thing I could find was the fact that there were no Subtitles...

「The hotel is conveniently located with amazing views of the castle and the surrounding grounds, including the fields where the sheep graze. I stayed the first night in the room with the terrace, which I recommend. It is perfect for laying on the couch outside after dark to do some serious stargazing. The second night I stayed in apartment 27. There were stairs to climb to get to the apartment, but it was worth it. The apartment was lovely and clean and large (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and...
