"What a wonderful place to stay!! Gracious staff, the best hotel breakfast we have ever had and lovely accommodations. Walking distance to everything as it is right downtown. We had a balcony with a lovely water view. The room was spotless and the bed super comfortable. And the staff even went out of their way to make our 30th anniversary extra special when I mentioned it in passing. Can’t recommend highly enough!"

Hot tub and accompanying saltwater infinity pool were on the roof. "

"We had an extraordinary stay at Senhora da Rosa, Tradition & Nature Hotel. As a family of five who has traveled to destinations like Bora Bora, Paris, and Costa Rica, we can confidently say this was one of the most pampering and comfortable experiences we’ve ever had. The family suite was a dream :complete with bunk beds (each with its own TV), a cozy teepee tent, and child-sized bathrobes that were the cherry on top. It gave our children a magical space of their own while still keeping everything luxurious and effortless for us. The hotel itself felt like pure indulgence, with unique design elements that sparked my inner artist, while keeping our kids engaged with the pool, kids’ club, and thoughtful details. To our delight, the staff even surprised our daughter with a birthday cake, making her feel so special and creating a memory we’ll always treasure. From pizza dinners on the terrace to evenings playing chess in the lounge, every moment was intimate, unique, and picture-perfect: an ideal complement to the natural beauty and relaxed vibe of São Miguel. The service was impeccable as well: the staff went above and beyond, preparing an early breakfast for our 7 a.m. flight and ensuring we had everything we needed for the next day. "The apartment was much brighter than the pics might have you believe and the location was great if you have a car - right on the beach with easy access to the entire island as the motorway runs just on the other side - snacks and dinner walkable but so easy to drive too. Would definitely stay here again."
