“Whenever I entertain someone who has never before been to NJ (yes, I know - I’m often shocked by this as well) then I give them a driving tour and then we stay at the Empress Hotel. It’s a slice of old-school Asbury Park that I enjoy showing off, along with the Boardwalk, Convention Hall, and some of THE best restaurants anywhere - full stop. The Empress is comfortable, clean, affordable, free parking is behind the building, it’s located right across from the Boardwalk/beach, and the staff are……
