「Our stay started off poorly, as the host had us checking in a day late, when clearly the reservation was correct. Then, he would not respond to my messages or to VRBO when they called him repeatedly. We had to wait at the airport for an hour while VRBO attempted to contact him. 「Great location and the space itself has potential, but the experience with the host and the condition of the unit was disappointing. The host did not respond to any messages before or during our stay when we tried to address several concerns. At one point, a man entered the space unannounced saying he was there to fix the smoke alarm, which was concerning since we had not been notified. 「Our host was so wonderfully accommodating in being responsive to our needs. The apartment is located over a small bar. Nothing got rowdy but a little white noise was helpful during the night. The beds were super firm. The heating system worked well which was helpful since the single pane windows didn’t provide much insulation especially the one that was partially sealed with paper towels. We were thankful for the shopping bags under one of the legs of the pool table which helped to level it...
