“The owner was very lovely and polite, he prep matcha tea for welcoming us also offering fresh bread making in the morning for our breakfast but my family were very tired from a long day travelling and activities we did in the area, we just want to sleep in so we had to miss out on that. House was clean. The bath was the highlight for us. Just the tap in both toilets a bit hard to operate so we had to wash our hands in the bathroom instead.”

“I highly recommend staying here over a standard hotel room. The owners do not speak English (which is perfectly fine, but I know some people are shocked when Japanese locals only speak Japanese lol). What I loved most is how convenient the location is. There is a vending machine on one end of the street, and a bus stop on the other. Additionally, the property itself is very pretty and well-maintained. “Spent three nights here with a one-year-old during Kyoto Marathon. Very spacious double room and the bed is big, which we and my little boy loves so much. He took his first walks inside the big room and enjoyed his time so much in the bathtub, floor and the bed. Many photos taken and so much sweet memory. :）”

“This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. ”
