"We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. "Carolina met us when we arrived. Checkin was easy. Finding the parking was a little tricky at first but we managed. The apartment was clean and just right for the two of us. We were right in the heart of Funchal and were able to walk to stores and restaurants. "

"This was a lovely hotel, with Katia ( the Hotel Manager) present and regularly asking if everything was satisfactory. The building , the rooms , spa and indoor / outdoor pools : all beautifully maintained. The breakfasts were wonderful ( cold buffet but also choice of omelets, eggs Benedict etc!)
