“Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.”

“This hotel is in a great location, close enough to walk to center of village but still quiet. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the surrounding hills.,( we had the star gazer room ) Breakfast was excellent! “A lovely, quaint and homely guest house with friendly, helpful staff. My room was clean, comfortable, warm and cosy. I was given a guided tour of the breakfast facilities upon check in and then shown to my room. The breakfast itself next morning was delicious and made to order. Rothay Garth is situated right at the heart of Ambleside, with all the local amenities only a couple of minute's walk away. There was also ample free parking on the premises.
