Pet-friendly Bucksport gem with hot tub! One hour to Acadia NP! Sleeps 8!

"Our group of 6 ladies had a great time at this welcoming and comfortable home! We spent lots of time exploring the area attractions but when we came home in the evening we enjoyed the comfortable living room with the music selection on the turntable or the hot tub on the deck. The kitchen had everything we could need and the beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. We had plenty of towels for showering and the hot tub too. We did take advantage of the laundry facilities once so that helped to be able to pack light. Our only "negative" is the shower curtain liners are so long in both showers they sometimes got stepped on or over the drain. The area was convenient to stay and accessible to the main highways to see the sights. We wish we could have stayed longer and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thanks for opening up your home, we want to come back!!"

"We had such a great time at this hotel! Clean, dog friendly, and a really awesome back yard area for games, campfire, and can even bring food to throw on the grill. Mike was so amazing and helpful, he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, including moving chairs around the fire, setting up the firepit, providing a small vooler.of ice, and even getting us a dog bowl for our dog bc we forgot ours. We felt so welcomed and at home! What a convenient location too, dunking is walking distance, gannaford is less than a mile, amd plenty of sites to see nearby. We'll definitely stay here again for our next girls weekend!"

"The property is truly an old 1832 house. Lovely wide-plank floors tho uneven as expected due to the age. The reno that has been done has been done very well.The host was extremely responsive and ran by when we had questions. During our stay the weather was beautiful so it made time sitting on the porch a real pleasure. We did not use the upstairs which had been done well and had 3 great rooms, one with a sitting area. The stairs were too steep for us to use so we only used the downstairs. Typical of old houses . Closet to use was hall one under stairs but available. Laundry worked well as did the nice kitchen appliances. Around some door facings the paint is peeling a bit so anyone expecting modern pristine perfection might not appreciate that the owners took a disastrous house and are still renovating areas like the other half of second floor. Owner came and mowed yard while we were staying there but out one day. He was most considerate to make sure not to be bothering us There was an excellent book with photos of places to visit within an hour and tips on going there . Big tv in front living room was very nice. Another tv is upstairs where we did not go.It was a very good experience . Everything that has been done is topnotch! Loved the character and history and how clean it was"

"Loved this place! The location was great, we became fast friends with neighbors, and felt like we were at “our own place” throughout our stay! The beds are comfy and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed! We did miss our air conditioner a little bit but the fans helped out a lot. Overall it was a wonderful stay!"

"What a beautiful, quiet place to escape to! We were 5 adults, including 4 seniors, some elderly and mobility-challenged, and found this place wonderfully clean, completely and thoughtfully supplied with everything. The kitchen had everything you could ask for, there were spaces for all needs, lots of room, a perfect and welcoming place to bring a very happy dog. The lake is pristine, there are kayaks, paddles, life vests, a fire pit (yes, we made s'mores) ---everything as described, and much more. There were deer, hummingbirds (bring feeders--we did!), loons, osprey, other ducks and songbirds and hardly any mosquitoes! the hot water was hot, the beds were comfortable, the spacious outdoors was very private. And the hosts were really instantly responsive! Thank you from all of us for a precious two-week getaway, it was great."

"The Spofford Inn (Inkwell Room) was beautiful and meticulously decorated with beautiful pieces to not only make the space modern and clean but keep the charm of the original building. The hosts were excellent at communicating and accommodating all our needs. It was is walking distance of a few restaurants and yummy ice cream shop. We were not in Bucksport very long but definitely enjoyed our stay."
