Cave room

The room was unique and we loved it. The hot tub was clean and worked excellent. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to try each one of the rooms.

We stayed two nights. First night was the jungle room, second was the cave room. Both rooms were clean with no signs of any insects. We did enjoy the cave room a little more, as it was larger and also had a larger jacuzzi. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. While the rooms are dated, the bathrooms were more modern and also clean and functional. The only real negatives were a broken window lock and the pillows were pretty flat. We really liked the kitschy nature of the place and if you've seen the picturesof it, you should know what to expect. Would stay again.

Went for 2 night with my husband, and love it, bed clean ,neat, yacutzzi clean, got my music, and relax...they just need a small fridge to pull any over night. Defenetly coming back ....$145.thr night perfect price....!!

We really enjoyed our stay. My only critique would be that the rooms don’t have a fridge or microwave and the ice machine didn’t have a water dispenser so definitely bring water and snacks if you are staying here for more than one night. Otherwise we loved our room, the big jacuzzi in the suite. The area of South Amboy is cool as there are things to do close by and it is nice and quiet at the property especially during the week before Friday. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

The first room we got wasn’t clean but the guy at the front desk was very helpful and got someone over there quick to clean it and change the room for us ! The second room we got smelled very clean it was really nice and big. I wish the bed was a circle or heart shaped like the other ones but other than that i had a great time In the hot tub ! Definitely worth checking it out ! It doesn’t come with breakfast but you get a fancy room. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or just to show your girlfriend you appreciate her.

This is the get away, you never knew existed. My room had a electric fireplace. I connect my phone to the smart t.v. It was clean room. Lots of towels. Jacuzzi was very comfortable with me and my wife.

Rough start, decent finish

I arrived a little early to a place that looked rather rough on the exterior, and was told I'd have to pay extra to check in before the appointed time. With no other customers in sight, this seemed rude. I left and killed some time by the shore. When I returned, the manager was much more amenable, and gave me a room with lots of mirrors and a jacuzzi. Too bad I was alone! The next morning it rained heavily, cancelling more sightseeing plans, but I had a nice room in which to hang around.

The good: Cute small place, great for a quick getaway, only an hour away from NYC, clean, good restaurants within 5-10 minutes driving distance. The bad: There is no way to reserve a specific room. They tell you to enter into the comments section but don't really pay attention to it. They are also a little shady with the pricing, cash vs. credit and what the site says vs. the onsite pricing. Overall we enjoyed our stay, despite the fact the room we originally reserved was given away "Oh I'm sorry, I just gave it away. Didn't notice the comment". That aside, the room was nice, clean and we had a good time, will (probably) return. One thing to note about the tubs - the jets, are located on the bottom, yeah...

The place is very well put together and calm. This is the place you come to for a quick night for yourself, or with a loved one. A place to really get some good rest depending on the circumstances you face in life lol. Yeah, great place. They could work on the smell and of the units and deodorize better but other than that, a very well, put together motel. 8/10.

It was a decent room I guess, but the cleaning staff was out at no joke like 3-4am being loud as hell and cleaning rooms. We got woken up numours times by them laughing and talking so loudly and dragging the damn cart around.
