"terrible experience"

"Pros: wonderful staff - everyone was courteous, kind and friendly; proximity to the beach and Ocean Dr. was excellent - makes it easy to enjoy all that South Beach has to offer; pools - liked that there were two and they had very different views. One is private, in the courtyard and the other has a great rooftop view Cons: noise level - this was advertised on Expedia as having soundproof rooms. This is absolutely NOT the case. You can hear every little thing happening outside your room and from your neighbors. We were right by the elevator, so the noise was pretty constant and honestly, not relaxing at all. Room - our king room with ocean view looked nothing like the pictures they have posted. Instead of a corner, large window with a seating area, we had one normal sized window and one smaller window (both of them filthy) and no where to sit besides the bed. The bathroom was also odd - a large area where a counter could have been but just an empty space instead. It made it difficult to have bathroom supplies readily available and we often had to use the counter in the bedroom instead. The bed was hard and not ‘premium’ as advertised. Cleanliness - while overall, the property was pretty clean, it seems that they have no one come pick up the pool areas. The rooftop area had trash littered in areas - empty bottles left on loungers and they’d clearly been there awhile. Lounger pads looked pretty dirty too - wish someone took time to clean them."

"The terrace room and hotel at the Fairwind on Collins was clean and comfortable..the staff was great the views are beautiful the pool is amazing..only thing they need is room service lol..I loved that was 2 mins away from the beach… everything I needed surrounded the hotel…great stay…anybody going to south beach…you can’t lose with the fairwind"

"The room had a weird smell upon entering, such a sour smell. The room had so many ants everywhere (specifically on the sink). It was really annoying. The bathroom ceiling was leaking. We were there for 3 nights and these things just made the entire experience inconvenient. It was just an okay experience. The staff were very friendly. The location is very convenient as the beach was nearby and all the shops were conveniently located. I don’t think i’d stay there again tho!"
