“Hotel is very dated but the bed and room were clean. Tv didn’t work but reported on checking out. You get what you pay for and the rooms were cheap so I couldn’t have any complaints. Just used it for a base for Alton towers”

“The hotel has some great amenities around it, mcdonalds right opposite - hungary horse next door and a mini tesco across the road. We stayed here for the races and the staff were fantastic. I met becka and a blonde woman on the reception and both were absolutely fantastic- so helpful, went above and beyond to help us and check us in as early as they could due to us needing to get ready and they were overall lovley people. The rooms were perfect heaters, fans if needed comfortable beds clean and……

“I want to give a really balanced view about The Stone House Hotel. I was staying for two nights on business and I found all of the colleagues that worked there to be extremely friendly and helpful. The food served is of a high quality. I had both the breakfast and items from their Indian menu - everything was really good. The downsides are: there is no air conditioning in the hotel. I know we are in the peak of summer but the rooms were stiflingly hot - the single fan provided just wasn't……

“We had a great stay at this historic hotel. Check in/check out was smooth. Great breakfast selection with hearty portion. Room is clean and bed is just the right firmness that you can wake up rejuvenated without backache. We also like how they stock plenty of welcome drinks and snacks in room to give us coziness to wind down in the cool weather.”

“Hotel is a little dated but room and bathroom were very clean. Fan was provided so temperature was comfortable. Room spacious and will be great if you have dogs. Bed relatively comfortable. Minor gripe is that the shower gel was very watered down so no use really. Other than that it’s a good budget option for this location and I would definitely stay there again.”
