「Loved old inn. Staff went over and above to be helpful,dog even had sausage gor breakfast. I found out no lift Expedia said couldn't ca cel without losing my money,when I told them this they said not a problem they would have returned it,again thanks for nothing Expedia. Staff so helpful and helped to get up to bed. Food was to die for had evening meal,lovely fresh cooked menu and breakfast again fabulous. Would recommend and would go again in spite of no lift!」

「We stayed in a studio cottage adjacent to the main building.it was exceptionally clean & comfortable . There was a lovely bed &a small kitchen area with microwave & dishwasher. The main hotel has a very friendly bar The restaurant serves very good food, reasonably priced. The English breakfast is fantastic. It’s our 4th visit. I think that speaks volumes. Hopefully ,it won’t be our last.」

「Large clean room with crisp sheets on the bed. Both the bed and the pillows were too firm, resulting in limited sleep I was convinced that continental breakfast was included when I booked the room. However the Expedia booking did not state that ,nor did the information sent to the Porters Lodge. The charge was though only £5 pp.」

「A one night stay plus breakfast. Good. No issues. Not that it was an issue for my stay but for future reference to consider permitting dogs. Maybe allocate some rooms for o/night stay with dogs. Wonderful countryside location. You advertise walks. Missing out on a key £ market!」

「As I am not happy on the phone found having to book for parking very difficult had to phone direct to the parking company As the reception would not except cash」

「The hotel was lovely and met all our needs. The food was great and the beds super comfy . The only problem to me was the overbearing air freshener which they seem to pump out throughout the hotel . It was far too strong for me ( migraine sufferer). Fortunately it did not smell in my room .」
