"This was such a perfect place to stay! There are tons of opportunities for day trips from this location. Nicely done little place with a comfy bed, AC and a full kitchen. The grill and back deck area were a nice touch, as we were able to sit and watch the deer and turkeys while we had dinner. This place was quiet, comfortable and just the right size for two."

The Hynes Cabin – A Spacious Renovated 1925 Classic with Stunning Views

10/10 Excellent
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hynes cabin. We did not see any horses near the cabin, but it could be due to the end of the season at the campground. We did see geese, ducks and deer daily by the cabin surrounded by the wonderful view of the mountain. The cabin is so centrally located that we enjoyed several day trips out. It is located very near Mt. Rushmore so we visited the monument in the day and also at night for their illumination ceremony. It's worth the trip!"
