“Hotel is situated in a historic neighborhood; interesting place to walk around. Room was lovely and provided everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent bar and restaurant offerings. Bedding and linens were high quality. However, the mattress was hard and irregular, very uncomfortable. Breakfast was relaxing and check out was easy. Would visit again. ”

“The Station Hotel has a very convenient location—right across from the train station / Union Square and within walking distance of the city centre. The price is reasonable, which makes it appealing for budget travellers. However, I wouldn’t stay here again. The room showed clear signs of wear and tear, particularly the bathroom door, which was falling apart at the bottom, and missing grout in many of the floor tiles. The double bed was actually two singles pushed together at different heights,……

“At check-in, I was advised that the bar & Resturant were both closed, the hotel is operating on room only, service users were council tenants, with several congregating in corridors, strong smell on the premises.”

“Lovely staff, very friendly. Room was far too hot and air con only blew out hot hair despite being on the cold setting. We were on the lower ground floor so we couldn’t open our windows properly without having the curtains open which meant people walking down the side street could see directly in to our room. One of the windows was locked too. Bar closed early and would only serve bottled wine or beer. ”
