「This hotel services a small country village somewhat off the beaten path and as such does not have all the facilities of a major hotel. There are just a handful of guest rooms, all on a second floor walk up with no lobby. Check-in is done automatically/remotely. Still, it is a very serviceable and pleasant location to stay at when visiting the immediate area. The only request we would make would be to add a blow dryer to the bathroom amenities.」

「Perfect! Great spot near the lake and close enough to ride the Erie Canal trail. Kayaking the river and nearby Lake Alice were both very nice. Short drive to three state parks. The house was wonderful. Would definitely go again.」

「We had a wonderful time, the host was very helpful and friendly. The view of the Lake was beautiful and the many visits to the Golden State Park and Marina were enjoyed by myself and the dogs. We also visited the Yates Town Park which was just down the road a short drive. My husband and son went fishing and came back to a warm and cozy cottage! We loved it!!!」

「This property was amazing! Super clean and had everything we needed! Host was amazing and went above and beyond to get us lighting on the first night power outage! Kids brought us over some sparklers for our children, soooo nice of them! They gave us info on good places to see the fireworks and festivities of the weekend! Definitely a very comfy homey environment! Highly recommend this comfy cabin!」

「Great place! Clean, very clean and cozy! Right on the lake! Probably the best fire pit and view we’ve ever had, and we’ve been around! Only downside would be that cottages are close to each other and in busy weeks you may have loud people next door. We could hear conversation from the cottage next door in the evening, not enough to bother us or to take off a star from such an excellent property, but just something to be aware of. Highly recommend Captains Galley. We had a great lunch there and...

「We had such a lovely stay. Maureen was such a pleasure to work with. We mostly took day trips to Niagara Falls, Fort Niagara, Letworth State Park and many local parks and waterfalls. Being right by the water was so relaxing and rejuvenating. It was exactly what we needed to get away from it all for a week. 」
