“When we arrived at the house, we unpacked and within a few minutes, we smelled something that smelled like sewer gas in the bathroom. The owners came over and accused us of pouring something down the drain to get out of paying them. We could not stay in the house it smelled so bad and they would not refund our money. VRBO took their side! This was a horrific experience. I hope they get the sewer smell figured out. I just wanted to visit my daughter and this turned into a nightmare. I understand……

“The house was wonderful and has so much charm. It's both modern enough to be comfortable, yet showcases many rustic details of the original build that really gives the forest cabin feeling. Cornwall is a quaint town with lots of local businesses and a eclectic vibe.The house was well stocked on amenities with attention to detail to made the stay seamless. “Our extended family group of 11 came for a long winter weekend and loved the Awosting house! It was spacious, the fireplace was very cozy, and we were fascinated by the house’s character and history, still discovering cool little details on our last morning. The managers, Mike and Katie, were also great, quickly responsive to questions, handy with recommendations, and also taking time out to describe a little of the house’s history. ”

“The property is nice and the grounds are well kept. I would have appreciated a bit more padding on the dining room furniture. The cabin is actually for 2 families, one upstairs and one downstairs. The Vrbo listing did not make that clear. As it turned out, no-one else was there when we were.”
