We loved that it was old… But updated so we were extremely comfortable. And the location was perfect… Right on the lake. It was great that the house was within minutes of Hammondsport to shop at the grocery store or eat at restaurants. And you can’t beat being so close to so many wineries. “Helvetia house was a welcome respite. The house itself was well appointed and laid out, with plenty of space inside and out for lounging, meals, and games. The paddle board and kayaks were a nice touch, and the dock was excellent. The neighbors are very nice and we had a few chats over the fence. You are literally right next to the boat launch, which is convenient if you have a boat. It’s an easy walk to a cool taproom, a winery, and a great bar/restaurant. Otherwise you’re 10-15 mins from……
