"Excellent stay in this great country house surrounded by citrus trees. The house has two large bedrooms, a comfortable bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen / dining area. Views from the large terrace on Mt Etna and on the sea from the front side are priceless. A car is indispensable. Easy to reach by country roads not far from Messina / Catania autostrada. Mario and Angela are wonderful hosts."

"Lovely apartment homes located in a compound in the quaint villa of Mascali with a great view of Mt. Etna. The property grounds were beautifully maintained. The apartment was very clean, and having 3 separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms was definitely a plus. Updated appliances and amenities. "The property is typically Sicilian so if you’re expecting contemporary and luxury this is not for you, if you want to feel like you’re in Sicily and experiencing their culture this is fabulous. Beautiful grounds, lots of lovely areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. You do need a car aa there is nowhere to walk to from the villa. "The villa is enormous with tons of space for our extended family to be together but also have our own space. There are 3 bedrooms next to the gigantic double living area on the ground floor (1 double with a sofa bed and ensuite) and 2 twin (one of them has an ensuite). "We had a great week! Marinella and Angelo were great hosts and have made this a beautiful space for a family retreat. It was beautiful with the flowers in bloom and the pool was a huge plus for the kids. Close to the highway so you can get to Taormina and Etna quickly, even if the road from the highway to the house is a little loud sometimes. A very beautiful and unique house that makes a memorable trip."
