"The lobby, staff, bar and restaurant were great. The room was a bit older, as was the rest of the property. The spa was closed and looked like it had been closed for quite some time with standing water and what looked to be mildew on the sides. The pool, however, looked to be clean. The property definitely could use some maintenance"

"We arrived to find that the hotel had no power due to a storm that came through earlier in the day. We were told the power went out around 12:30 pm, and we arrived at 5:30 pm. The two staff behind the desk had no idea about restoration time or what a refund would look like. They were not knowledgeable on how to handle customers who didn't want to stay. It didn't appear that either was a manager, so I wondered in a situation like this, "why isn't the manager here?". No AC, no lights, just the plumbing worked (other than no hot water). After 8 hours on the road, I had no capacity to try to find another hotel, so we stayed. My biggest issue was safety. With the elevator not working, we were forced to use the stairwell that did NOT have emergency lights in it. The stairwell was very dark and we had to use the flashlights on our phones. A major code violation, I think. And then I wondered if the fire alarms worked, if they were hard-wired? Did they have battery back up? We woke up in the morning to still NO power, so we got out of there as fast as we could. I know the staff had no control over the power outage, but they acted defeated, barely able to answer any questions or provide any guidance. Both the physical building and the staff were ill-equipped to deal with this situation. I'm not sure how the building passed final inspection and the staff need training or reliable managers who are willing to help. I will think twice before staying there again."

"Landscaping was full of weeds, not kept up. on check-in was told there were maintenance issues, all rooms on first floor were gone, mine was on the second floor, No elevator, i had some heavy gear. Room lighting was horrible. ice machne on second floor not working. Would not stay again."

"The walls are paper thins so you can hear all sounds from outside and inside. The curtains blocked little light from oitside. The pool was a little cool for our taste so the kids spent a limited amount of time swimming. The breakfast was a nice selection but the pancake machine kept jamming."
