“We stayed here one night on our road trip. Lovely clean and modern motel room on a quiet side street a block from the local restaurant options. Well-stocked coffee/tea selection. Super comfortable beds. We didn’t use the top bunk - the mattress is a bit too deep for the guard rails, so our Kid was afraid of rolling out. But the lower bed suited the Kid just fine. We had a slight hiccup during check-in: the provided door code didn’t work. I called the contact number - they called right back and……

“The property was beautiful. Stream runs through the property, and we did a bit of fishing but no luck! All staff was friendly and accommodating. Amenities were so NICE! We used two of the hot tubs, one by the creek and one on the deck, very nice! Sauna was in use so unable to use. So many lakes close by! Lots of hiking areas. We did picnic on the grounds. The only negative was breakfast was the same for 3 days straight and the egg casserole was rubbery, bacon and hash browns way overcooked……

“I booked this room after 11 PM. I arrived and there was nobody in the office. I called and texted the number provided and received no answer. I waited approximately half an hour and then contacted Expedia. I’m still waiting to find out if they are willing to refund my money. After locating a new place to stay well after midnight, somebody texted me and rather than apologizing, I received more like a lecture saying didn’t you know that our office closes at nine? As a matter of fact, I did not……

“The Rabbit Ears has been a favorite of ours for many years. It's nothing fancy, but the staff is excellent. It is at a perfect location in downtown Steamboat, with a bus stop right next to the motel, for easy transit to the mountain. We recommend a king room with sofa, lots of space!”

“This is a good hotel in a very convient location on the main street of steamboat. Is is easy to walk to all of the local restaurants bars and shopping. This is a classic motel with functional rooms and some amenities. The convenience of parking your car directly outside your hotel door can be very handy. ”
