“The Rayburn Hotel is being renovated. Check-in for the Dalles Inn is located in the alley behind Rayburn. Staff was friendly and helpful, continental breakfast, even though Staff seemed to be in a storage closet. I loved the beds and just because I did, will make a point to stay at this property when I travel through the area. Thank you. 1 problemis all first level room at the Dalles seem to be single beds. “Very unique. It's a step back in time. Don't expect modern resort but you will get friendly authentic service provided by local people who bend over backwards to fulfill your needs and interests. Dufur is a very small old rural historical town in, what some would call, the middle of nowhere. If you want seclusion and enjoy country walks or bike rides and meeting really interesting people the Balch Hotel is for you as it was for us. The people really are fantastic. “This is a sweet little spot for bikepackers and cyclists. Brandie and Larry are awesome, the cabin was clean and cozy, and they are almost done with the showers and bathrooms. Highly recommend supporting these guys!”

“This B&B was an absolute gem! Spotlessly clean, with incredibly friendly hosts who made us feel right at home. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and plentiful. “This place is spectacular! Being in the senior crowd, I admit we are technologically challenged but our host was so gracious in his response to our distress text and we figured it out! The recommendations for the MoCo was spot on and we enjoyed a delightful evening of live music and great food and drinks. The space was warm, inviting, clean and comfortable. ”

“It was majestic getting to stay on Lisa and Shay’s beautiful farm and gardens. Our hosts were beyond helpful and shared all of their beautiful property (including the wonderful vegetable, fruits and eggs from the chickens). The kids enjoyed the pool table, air hockey and darts while my husband and I loved laying in the hammock outside with beautiful sunset views of mt hood. We would travel to this area just to stay here again. Absolutely heaven!”
