“Mainly stayed for Keswick Convention. Walkable distance from Base Camp and Main Tent at Skiddaw Street. It's quiet and near a scenic view from a river nearby. The lawn of the Hotel brings rabbits and relaxing atmosphere to guests. Friendly staff and great self-served breakfast. A good balance of price and service. Will definitely visit again.”

“This is a great little find in a perfect, beautiful location. The staff are so friendly and helpful - we really wished we were staying longer and plan to come back shortly. The food (we had an evening meal and breakfast) was outstanding and such good value. We can't wait to return.”

“Dogs friendly lodge. I do appreciate people in the UK treat their dogs as families. We saw a lot of friendly dogs in the lodge. What a great experience. The breakfast is nice and the receptionist is enthusing to deliver help. ”

“Nice place to stay. Coffee shop not far away and walkable - very nice. Need a car as narrow lanes to get to and no footpaths. Service at breakfast on the 1st morning was slow but that was due to the young girl serving. Not there when we arrived and waited 10 minutes before she appeared. Left dirty dishes on tables when she could have easily removed when bringing other dishes etc...She was friendly enough. 2nd morning, totally different service. Lady on duty was attentive……
